Baby Brother

Last month I packed up my husband and toddler and jetted halfway across the world to my baby brother’s wedding.  He and his lovely bride chose a beautiful, remote beach off the island of Roatan, Honduras.  I’m not even close to finishing the editing process but here are my favorites thus far. 

Neill Family (again)

I last took photos of the Neill Family in May of 2008.  The boys have grown SO much it’s amazing but both of their personalities still shine through.  What a fun family!  Here’s a little “Now and Then” collage I made up… more family photos to follow!

My husband claims that I shouldn’t count pictures of our daughter as images in my portfolio but she’s my favorite subject so it’s kinda hard not to!  Last week I followed her around while she played and got some amazing shots.  So today I’m showing off both my photos and my beautiful little girl…

Baby C – Maternity

I love shooting weddings.  I cry at almost all of them – even when I don’t know the people beyond the photographer/client relationship.  Even if they use the same readings and music as the last couple.  But I may love maternity shoots more.  There’s something so intimate and earthy about a couple who is about to have a baby. They’re nervous and excited. They’re SO in tune with their bodies (or at least the pregnant one) and love just oozes out of both of them.  It’s amazing.

I know I already posted a preview of the Dailey-Fields wedding but I couldn’t help sharing this image I made up real quick… is it weird that I like it so much I’m considering hanging it on my own walls?!

What a hot day!  But other than that this wedding was a true pleasure to shoot.  I couldn’t help grinning every time the obviously delighted groom pulled his bride in for another kiss…

Eck-Lowry Family (Take two!)

A year later and I’m back with Adriann, Dylan, Gavin & Gracie.  The way this family loves one another other makes my heart happy.

The Day Wedding

Congratulations to Joseph and Brianna.  Like so many military couples, they had to get married in a rush before he shipped out but the reception was utterly beautiful.
